In an extruder system EPS material (expandable polystyrene) can be processed to hard polystyrene pellets for being further used as reground material e.g. for injection moulding.
First from the silo the EPS recycling material is transported into the extruder system via a dosing screw where it is separated from metal parts or foreign particles. In the extruder itself it is compressed and melted into profiles. After this process the granulator shred these profiles into pellets.
